A big thanks to all of you who came and made this event such
a success =)
Here are a few notes from our perspective and the line up for next time
.....
After all of the stress and preparations, we are really happy
about the huge numbers (over 400 !) of positive, happy people that came
from all over Europe to attend this party and make it so special. With party
people from all over Holland and from countries from Belgium to Greece and
from Finland right the way to Japan, we couldnt have had a more international
crowd (or lineup !)
We experienced one or two small problems during the course of the night
due to the manager of the club going missing, but we have sorted all these
difficulties out and can guarantee an even more relaxed party next time
......
Our contract for the next party guarantees that it will go on until 10
am with an open end, and even if it goes on later than 10 am it will be
100 % psychedelic trance djs all the way. Our apologies to all who stayed
till the end and were forced to listen to the cheesy handbag trance that
they polluted our party with. Never again ! So as you can see we are already
busy making many improvements and dreaming up new ideas for the next party
- if you have any ideas, complaints, suggestions, reviews or even compliments,
please mail them to us at our usual address. All feedback is appreciated
and will help contribute to making the perfect party next time =) We are
also opening an extra room at the next party to give everyone more space
to party in - this will be a second chillout / chillum room kitted out with
mattresses and with ambient and dub being played all night ........
If you you would like to receive e mail updates about our party happenings,
please send a (blank) e mail with the word "Party-Info" in the
subject line so we can add you to our database .... we are also interested
in hearing from any volunteers who would like to help out on the next party
in some way to help keep the vibe alive by helping in some small way in
return for a Crew pass on the evening.We will continue to update this page
with independant reviews and photos from the party - if you would like to

Our next label event is called " Goalien Psy - Fi " and will take
place on Friday 19 May at the same venue as before.

Digital Stimulant is a the first in a series of four label parties planned
by BooM! Records for this year in Groningen, Holland.
The parties are being held at a top location in the centre of Groningen,
the spacious Index in the Poelestraat.
We used this venue once before for our Cyberfusion event in 1998, and we
are very pleased to secure the venue for this years happenings =)

- All djs and live acts have been confirmed,
- The venue is also confirmed
- chaishop and stalls are confirmed
So *nothing* can stop us now !!
Tickets are selling well and judging by the response we have had from far
away places,
it looks like becoming an international gathering of proportions ; )
We especially look forward to seeing some of the friendly faces who attended
Goa Gaia - what a party that was !

The line up for Digital Stimulant has been carefully selected from our label
djs and live acts :
Dj Kengo
Kengo is a well known dj in his home city, Tokyo. He has played with
many of the biggest names in both japanese and international psy trance,
and has even played at parties on the famous Mount Fuji in Japan ! He is
a regular visitor to Holland, but making his djing debut in Holland at our
party - last time he was in Holland he was here as a judge for the Cannabis
Cup, so expect some nice and stoned tunes from him !
His selection of tracks (played mostly from DAT) tends towards a slightly
darker and tribalistic sound, with a hint of industrial and a good pinch
of unreleased Japanese tracks fresh from the Tokyo studios ...... be afraid;
be very afraid !
Dj Ido Liran
Dj Ido ( aka Quadra ) originally comes from Israel (the chosen land
as far as trance is concerned) and despite his young years he is a veteran
to trance ! He regularly spins on parties all over the USA and Israel and
is looking forward to being flown in for his gig over here - so much that
he has decided to stay for a few weeks to meet up with the all the Euro
trancers over here and hopefully spend some time in a few studios over here,
co writing with some Dutch artists. Expect a set full of powerful sounds,
brain tingling melodies and twisted surprises as Ido takes over the decks
......
Dj Matt BooM!
Dj Matt BooM! probably needs little introduction
to regular visitors to the BooM! Records website - originally from the UK
he moved to Holland about 6 years ago and set up BooM! Records together
with his Dutch partner Remko. He plays regularly at psychedelic trance parties
all over the world, from Moscow to Canada and back again ! His preferred
sound is "friendly, but firm" - music that is uplifting, cheeky
and above all danceable, with a nice fat hard beat and enough psychedelic
content to keep that grey matter working overtime ! All the music in his
sets is unreleased and has been gathered from artists all over the world,
including many tracks signed to BooM!.

Dj Tom
Dj Tom comes from Cornwall in the UK and delighted crowds with his opening
set at the Goa Gaia event last year, so many
of you will be pleased to see him return to Groningen to spin another set.
Tom plays mostly from vinyl , he has a record box that most Dutch djs could
only dream of, including many new tunes and classic cuts that were never
on sale in the record shops over here ! Tom will also be playing some unreleased
tracks from MD, so keep your ears and minds open ;)
Special guest morning set :
Dj Jeremy Starseed
Djing since age 18 in 1994(gregorian calendar) Jeremy has played
in USA, at parties like Burning Man in Nevada, Star Matrix and Lunar Seed
for the CCC crew in San Fran., as well as in India in 95-96 at the Solar
eclipse and the annual christmas party on the "hilltop" in Vagator.
Other big events have been the Oxygen Orgasms in Klosterrode in Germany,
96 and 97 and 98, the Love Field outside Berlin. England, Sweden(the infamous
Orebro two day bashes),South Africa, Holland(ELF,Trance Buddha),Ibiza and
Switzerland are all on the list of places he's played on his travels, sometimes
stopping to make music as guest in various studios along the way. He has
released tracks on Btm and Phantasm records.
Live on stage : Quadra
Quadra ( Ido Liran, see above under djs !) has just completed his first
full length album,which is due for release in February on BooM! Records
(BoomCD/ LP 008) The album is entitled " Digital Stimulant" -
now that is a cosmic coincidence hehehe !!
His music is uncompromising, intelligent and still retains a good sense
of humour - surely the best possible combination of elements for explosive
tracks. Apart from his debut release he has also signed some tracks to companies
in Israel and is rapidly becoming a big name internationally.
He performs live acts regularly in israel and the USA, and is planning to
play at several exclusive festivals and events worldwide later this year.
The lucky people who purchased one of the 50 first tickets for this event
will receive a copy of the album at the party.
( If you were too late then the cd will be on sale at a bargain price at
the party ! )

Trippy Visuals : Closed Eye Visions
Vj Barth from Closed Eye Visions will once again treat us to a blend
of his home produced images and loops as well as images from other sources.
This will all be beamed onto a huge screen on the main dancefloor and was
a big crowd pleaser at the Cyberfusion and Goa Gaia events, many people
danced on that one spot all night to make sure they didnt miss one moment
of visual madness ...
Barth is also the brain behind both this flyer and the Goa Gaia flyer, sure
proof of his graphical talents =)
Other attractions at the party :
The top floor of the building will be transformed into a chillout zone
and bizarre bazar, a place to relax away from the main dancefloor.
Here you will be able to find :
- Chai shop, selling indian tea and light snacks as well as a relaxed
place to sit and chill ...
- Dream Factory - the number one smart shop in Groningen ! They carry
a very wide range of (legal) herbal pills and potions, something for every
mood and occasion. So if its Purple Passion or Happy Campers that keep you
dancing, this is the place to be =)
- Imagine It Clothing - the Dream factory also has their ownline
of exclusive club wear and fluor clothing which will be on sale at the party.
- Fresh Fruits For Free ! There will be a buffet of fresh fruit laid
out to top up your energy levels after the dancefloor - help yourselves
to it !
- Huisteil clothing - A unique clothes shop in Groningen, Huisteil
sells a range of second hand psychedelic 60s and 70s clothing as well as
their own crazy creations and blacklight clothes and jewellery. So if you
always wanted a pair of smurf jeans or a fluffy purple octopus, now you
know where to find them ......
- CD shop - If you want to get a bargain, then dont forget the cd
shop. All of BooM! Records cd releases will be on sale here at the bargain
price of f 10 each !!!!!!!! Normally they sell for up to f40 each in the
record shops, this is a one time opportunity to complete your collection
...
- THC friendly chill zone - so bring your chillums !

The time and place :
Index, Poelestraat 53, Groningen. The venue is right in the middle of Groningen
city centre, in under 10 minutes walk from the railway station.
Right between the market square and the casino, it is the biggest nightlife
area of Groningen and no trouble to find.
