Welcome to the homepage of Goalien Psy-Fi ..........
Three months has passed very quickly for us and once again it is time to
get down and party together again. With the hot weather lifting everyones
moods and the prospect of a summer packed with Goa festivals, lets start
the European season with a bang !
Our coming event is on Friday 19 May in the Index in Groningen, Netherlands.
All of the minor problems that we encountered last time have been taken
care of now and the club owners have made a lot of concessions to see to
it that we all have a comfortable and fun night to remember.
Improvements to look forward to this time are :
- No dodgy club trance after partys !! 101 % Psy all night =)
- Extended *guaranteed* opening times till 10 am the next day
- Extra chill out / chillum room added upstairs with own soundsystem and
djs playing ambient and dub all night
- Garderobe / cloakroom reduced to 1 Guilder
- Air conditioning set to 10 instead of 2, so bring a ski jacket !!!

Dj Aorta (Taboo Productions, Belgium)
~Belgium's # 1 dj~
Dj Aorta was single handedly responsible for setting up a Goa
scene in his home town of Antwerpen and has been spinning every weekend
there since for crowds of up to 25,000 people ! His sets can be hard and
dark, but still contain a funky feeling and remain highly danceable, seemlessly
mixed from cd. Some will know him from our party here 2 years ago maybe
....
Recently he has started his own label and booking agency, and for the last
couple of years he has run a recordshop specialising in psy trance, probably
the biggest collection we have ever seen in one place in Europe !!
Dj Bob Peek (Peek, UK)
Also known as Freaky Bob, this dj from the UK is non other than
the editor of PeeK magazine, a magazine dedicated to psy trance and the
culture that surrounds the music and parties. As such, he is in a perfect
position to get hold of the freshest vinyl from London. Flying in for his
first appearance in Holland, Bob plays regularly at parties and festivals
in London and all over the UK, his set should be a treat for us all !
Dj Goatic (NL)
Goatic (aka Dolf) is one of the founding fathers of the Goa
scene in Groningen, he was organising and playing on trance parties in Groningen
right at the beginning of the 90's and was a source of inspiration to many
people. After taking a break from the scene to spend more time in his studio
and behind the computer, the mad scientist is back and spinning. A combination
of classic morning sounds from the golden years of Goa and new and unreleased
tracks burned from DAT, his morning set must be the most beautiful way we
could think of to round off the party .......
Dj Matt BooM! (BooM! Records, UK/NL)
Fresh back from travelling again, Matt BooM! has recently played
sets in Switzerland, Portugal and Slovakia. With a summer full of festivals
and events in Europe and North America ahead of him, this might be one of
his last sets in Groningen for a while. Matt will be playing a set of 100
% unreleased tracks from cd-r and has promised to put in a couple of his
trademark Russian tracks for all you people in the know ! Check

Live on stage :
Die Sonne (BooM! Records, Switzerland)
Cyberpunks from Switzerland, who could forget their track "Rip"
on our Double Dipped compilation - still the fattest kick drums that our
ears have ever heard. He will be here together with his partner from their
Zurich based project, Sonnenvakuum and they will play a selection of their
latest tunes, a couple of old favourites. Watch out for their latest track
"SOP" that all the major labels have been chasing ! They are
also masters of "Allbient" music (their own take on ambient),
so dont be surprised to bump into them upstairs in the chillout room .......

Chill(um) Room :
With the party going on until 10 am, we thought it would
be wise for you to all have an ambient chillout room to take an occasional
break in. Located upstairs, this has its own bar and soundsystem away from
the main floor, although you can still enjoy the trippy visuals on the tv
monitor system =)
The main hosts of the evening will be the Dubwise team, who will be spinning
relaxed ambient and dub for you to chill out to, enjoy a cold drink, a smart
cocktail or a fat joint - whatever your personal preference is ! We would
advise all three at the same time, but thats the kind of people we are hehehe.
Several guest djs will be joining the dubwise team in the course of the
evening, including Dj Mike from Groningens Tilt organisation. See you all
in there !
Free fresh fruit will be available in the chillout same as last time =)

Domain
No expense has been spared this time to bring you the best in original decos
!
The domain team will be flying in from the UK to turn the venue into a glimmering
pool of fluor colours. Known throughout Europe for their original, organic
fluor decorations this will take you to another level. No 2 dimensional
bali backdrops of shiva here, these are all handmade one off originals never
seen in Holland before, many of them three dimensional to make use of the
unique space available for each party ..... dont forget to bring your cameras
so everone knows what your are talking about afterwards !! Click on the

Once again our hallucinatory visuals will be provided by Vj
Barth witha beamer and screen set up right next to the dancefloor to give
ultimate viewing pleasure all night, this time he will be helped by Vj Callista
(Low Res) who will bring her own eclectic selection of viewing material
to twist and warp your minds !
